Our Advisory Group

Our Advisory Group are passionate supporters of ending domestic and family violence. The Group has expertise across many industries and strong community networks.

Kristine Young

Kristine is the Director at Bella Venezia Group. Her inspiring and collaborative approach cultivates a culture of growth and innovation. Beyond her role, Kristine is also the Author of 'The Self-Preservation Guide,' where she shares insights to connect, inspire, and drive positive change. As a passionate advocate for the Sunshine Coast Community she is committed to its growth and well-being. Kristine is an active participant in community projects, volunteer work, and promotion of the region's opportunities.

Helen Glanville

Helen has worked in property, housing and real estate roles since 1990, including with the Queensland Department of Housing. She brings broad business and management experience and has partnered in commercial and residential development projects on the Sunshine Coast. Helen is also Chairperson of Purpose Real Estate and a Director of the Australian Housing Urban Research Institute.

Dean Stuart

Dean is the Dealer Principal at Cricks Volkswagen Sunshine Coast. In 1986, Dean and his family moved from the bush to Rainbow Beach, exchanging dust and flies for surf, sand and midges, and has been a proud local even since. In 1992 Dean started on a career pathway with Cricks which lead him to become a part owner of the iconic local brand. Along with a team of 70 staff he is proud to represent Cricks, and Volkswagen on the international stage.

Pam Hall

Pam left her role as a school principal to start her own business as an education consultant. She has worked with schools and education systems across Australia and beyond. Pam enjoys working as part of the Sunshine Coast community with a real passion for assisting women and children to build safe and successful lives. This passion led her to join Zonta Caloundra and subsequently take on the role as club president. Under Pam’s presidency the club became an integral partner in RISE2.

Kerrod Walters

Kerrod is a previous professional Rugby League player from 1988 to 2000 with career highlights including 223 NRL games and 22 English Super League games. Many will know Kerrod from NRL premierships with the Brisbane Broncos, multiple State of Origin and Australian Test Matches. He is a member of the Brisbane Broncos Hall of Fame and was awarded the Australian Sports medal in 2000. A Sunshine Coast local since 2001, Kerrod’s career has spanned Real Estate and business ownership including commercial cleaning, fashion and Real Estate.

Kristy Munroe

Kristy was inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame in 2016 as an Athlete Member for her contribution to the sport of Surf Life Saving. One of Australia’s most decorated lifesavers, Kristy Munroe won state, national and world championship ironwoman crowns. After 11 years on the national series stage, Munroe was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her services to surf lifesaving. After retiring from competition Kristy began working in High Performance Sport at the University of the Sunshine Coast. In addition, Kristy works with the Sunshine Coast Lightning netball team in athlete wellbeing and supports many local charities and community events.

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army’s Family Violence Service (TSA FVS) are a RISE2 partner. TSA FVS deliver trauma informed, risk, safety and recovery focused case management and support to women and children accommodated in RISE2. This includes access to a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner, Support Worker, Children’s Practitioner and Counsellor to support women and children on the next steps of their journey.

Coast2Bay Housing Group

Coast2Bay Housing Group has a 33-year track record for delivering innovative, responsive and future-ready housing projects. They are the largest community housing provider supporting individuals and families across the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Noosa and Gympie regions. The work closely with services and partners to ensure the successful delivery of the RISE2 program.

The Zonta Club of Caloundra City Inc.

The Zonta Club Caloundra support a range of projects across the Sunshine Coast to empower women and families. It was here that the concept of the RISE homes started and with their tenacious support and fundraising the program become a reality. The team continue to provide extensive fundraising support and advice to the RISE2 program.
